Fort William Rotary has announced the 38th Fort William Rotary House Lottery winner.
Jason Matyczuk has been awarded a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house valued at $748,704.
Since its inception, the house lottery has raised just under $8,000,000 for local organizations.
“My deepest gratitude goes out to all the dedicated members of the Fort William Rotary Club who volunteered their time and effort to make this draw a resounding success,” said House Lottery Chair, Cindy Levanto. “The planning, execution, and logistics involved in organizing such an initiative are immense, and it truly takes a village.”
“Whether you assisted at open houses, sold tickets at the Thunder Bay 50/50 store inside the Intercity Shopping Centre, or served on the house lottery committee, your contributions were invaluable and essential to our success,” added Levanto
Last year the rotary set the record for funds raised during the event at just over $660,000, but this year’s totals have not been announced yet.
The proceeds of the lottery go to help many projects, large and small, in Thunder Bay and the region.
Matyczuk is set to receive the keys to the house at a key handover event at a later date.
