Fewer restrictions for motorists in the downtown Port Arthur area, this comes with the partial reopening of the intersection at Park Avenue and Court Street South.
Drivers are able to travel through the intersection, however are only able to turn south onto Court Street.
This is due to the section up to Red River, including the Red River and Court Street North intersection, being closed as part the North Core Street Scape project.
In a release the City of Thunder Bay states it understands road closures due to construction are frustrating, but notes the inconvenience is temporary and outweighs the long-term benefits of the completed project.
A reminder for motorists using the Park and Court intersection, the section from Cumberland Street South to Court Street South is a one way street for westbound traffic.
