Yesterday was a warm one for Thunder Bay and the data confirms it broke a record set 70 years ago.
At 3:00 p.m. the recorded temperature out at the airport was 29.1 C, beating a 1953 record of 27.2 C.
Additionally, the city is on track to double down today with an expected high of 26 C, however part of that might be hampered as it is expected to be cooler the closer you get to Lake Superior.
The recorded high of 25.6 C for October 3rd was set in 1956.
