A 37 year old Thunder Bay man has been arrested in connection to an assault at a north side hotel Saturday and a July 16th robbery.
Police were called just after noon to a hotel in the County Fair area after the victim was attacked, unprovoked, by the attacker armed with an edged weapon.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
It was revealed both parties were known to each other, and an investigation allowed officers to make the arrest on Monday.
The robbery charges stems from an incident at a grocery store where the accused stole wine and threatened staff with a weapon.
Charges include:
• Aggravated Assault
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2
• Fail to Comply with Release Order
• Robbery with Weapon
• Obstruct Peace Officer
He appeared in court Tuesday and has since been remanded into custody.
