Two southern Ontario men have been arrested and charged with drug trafficking in the city, following the search of a north-side home Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the Marlborough Street apartment shortly before 9 o’clock Wednesday morning due to reports of unwanted people in the residence.
Upon arrival officers were able to see evidence of drug trafficking, before locating and arresting a 26 year old Cambridge man and a 24 year old Toronto man.
Investigators were able to obtain a warrant and through a search of the home located quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, valued at more than $15,000, and a further $37,000 in cash.
The 26 year old faces the charges of:
• Unlawfully in Dwelling House
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Meanwhile the 24 year old has been charged with:
• Unlawfully in Dwelling House
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Both appeared in court Thursday and were remanded into custody.
