There is just a few hours left before talks between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the federal government end.
If a deal is not reached by 9 p.m. eastern, 155 thousand workers will walk off the job starting just after midnight.
Picket lines will be set up across the country, but only in two communities here in Northwestern Ontario.
Thunder Bay is slated to see multiple pickets set up at Service Canada, the Viterra and Richardson Port Terminals, Health Canada, Passport Canada and Patty Hajdu’s constituency office.
Meanwhile in Sioux Lookout lines will be up at the Health Canada office in that community.
A map of other pickets across the country can be found here.
Points of contention between the two parties include wages and job security.
