A break, enter and theft at Memorial Avenue Shoppers Drug Mart early this Monday morning has resulted in several charges against a city man.
Police were called to the drug store, just before 4:00 a.m. to a report of a male smashing a window at the store.
Before officers arrived they learned in addition to smashing the window with a concrete block, the accused made off with a television and a stereo before fleeing on foot.
He was quickly located on Syndicate Avenue, in possession of the stolen merchandise, and was taken into custody.
The 35 year old faces the following charges:
• Mischief Over $5,000
• Theft Under $5,000
• Resist Peace Officer
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order
He appeared in court Monday and was remanded into custody.
