A very lucky break for members of the Thunder Bay Police Service, investigating a number of break and enters which took place at a Roland Street business in the early morning hours of March 16th and 22nd.
In the first instance the thief made off with an undisclosed amount of merchandise, he then returned a few days later and attempted to repeat his score, unfortunately for him, this time one of the items he took had an active G-P-S tag connected to it.
Officers tracked the signal and were able to arrest the man 9 hours later.
He has also been connected to a theft at a clothing retailer which occurred on March 14th.
A 28 year old Thunder Bay man has been charged with:
• Break and Enter to Commit x 2

• Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 9
He appeared in court today and was remanded into custody.
