Thunder Bay Fire Rescue want to remind the public to never leave cooking unattended following a structural fire Friday night.
Crews responded to the fire on Windsor Street shortly before midnight and discovered heavy smoke emanating from the building, and were able to get water onto the fire and get it under control quickly.
Fortunately nobody was hurt, as all occupants of the residence had evacuated prior to the arrival of fire fighters.
Additionally residents are also reminded to make sure smoke detectors are in working order.
