City police have broken up another home takeover and arrested two Toronto teenagers in the process.
On Monday officers were dispatched to a Cumberland Street South address around 9:15 a.m. following reports of two males possibly in possession of a firearm.
Police learned the two may have been involved in an ongoing home takeover situation connected to drug trafficking.
While the accused were in the residence they refused to allow the proper resident of the home to leave.
When the officers entered the home they took the two 16 year olds into custody and seized suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl and cash, however no firearm was recovered.
It’s believed the two were in Thunder Bay specifically to participate in drug trafficking.
Both teens face the following charges:
• Forcible Confinement
• Break and Enter
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
They appeared in court Tuesday and were remanded into custody.
