Thunder Bay Police have arrested a 62 year old city man in connection to an investigation into child exploitative material.
Last month the Cyber-Crime unit became aware of a local internet user was suspected of possession of digital files of child exploitation.
An investigation confirmed the images were consistent with child pornography and a search warrant was executed a a residence on January 6th, shortly after 6:30 a.m.
There officers seized multiple electronic devices, and later discovered images consistent with child pornography.
The suspect was then taken into custody on January 20th.
He appeared in court the same day and has been released on conditions and a future appearance date.
