EV chargers are going to popping up across the city.
The Thunder Bay Community Economic Development fund is getting a boost with a $500,000 investment from the federal government.
Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister Responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario, on behalf of Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Natural Resources announced the new funding.
The incoming chargers will all be placed in public places, at mulit-unit residential buildings, along city streets or at facilities for servicing light duty vehicle fleets.
The project is to be completed by March 2023.
