The Thunder Bay District Health Unit will be hosting vaccine clinics in schools.
A notice to parents who’s children attend school in the city was sent out from the Health Unit notifying them of coming clinics. It was made clear that consent would be strictly required to administer a single dose of the vaccine.
The clinics do not have dates associated with them as of yet, only that deadlines for parents/guardians to give consent would be Jan. 24.
The in-school clinics would be for first doses only for kids who are 5 yrs and older.
If students have a scheduled appointment for a first dose before this date, they are advised to keep it and receive their vaccine sooner than later. These in-school clinics will not be administering second doses.
