Second vaccine doses for children aged 5-11 years old will be available in the coming weeks.
The child sized vaccine originally became available to kids between 5 and 11 years old back on Nov. 23 2021.
The recommended time period between doses is eight weeks according to Health Canada.
Thunder Bay District Health Unit is holding vaccine clinics for children in this age range to get their second dose, or first if needed.
There will be upwards of 300 appointments a day dedicated to immunize children in the area.
Appointments will start on Jan. 21 through to Feb. 11.
