Disoriented. That’s the word to describe how the resident of an apartment fire was found over the weekend.
Thunder Bay Fire & Rescue arrived to an apartment on Stardust Cr Dec.12 to a third floor apartment spitting out smoke.
Crews forced their way into the apartment and found the resident disoriented and wandering around as they were suffering from smoke inhalation. They were immediately removed and sent to the hospital for further assessment.
The fire which was contained to the mattress, was quickly extinguished and the smoke ventilated from the apartment.
TBFR is reminding residents of carelessly discarding smoking items can lead to fires.
