Kids and parents alike will rejoice.
A new playground is being installed at Centennial Park. With lots of public consultation and engagement from 2019 the City is going to be keeping the “woodland adventure” theme.
The longstanding wood pieces are a point of nostalgia for many residents and in a written statement Werner Schwar, who is Supervisor of Parks & Open Spaces Planning said:
Keeping the public’s interests top of mind, we will be utilizing a woodland adventure theme, as it suits Centennial Park’s forested setting and respects the nostalgia for the previously removed structures.
The city is reminding visitors avoid the construction area if possible, obey posted signage and use extra caution when going through the park.
