Post-secondary schools in Ontario continue to unveil their guidelines when it comes to in-person learning and vaccines for the fall semester.
Confederation College, in a statement Tuesday, indicated that all students and employees will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Tuesday September 7th to access campuses in person.
This follows the July 14th statement from Lakehead University spokesperson Brandon Walker:
In order to ensure a safe, accessible, and enjoyable residence experience this fall, Lakehead University will require students living in residence to have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination with plans to receive a second dose.
Students arriving who are unable to access a vaccine may contact Residence Services to assist with making arrangements. Students wishing to live in Lakehead’s Residences who, for medical or other reasons, cannot be vaccinated may request an exemption.
All students, faculty, and staff have been encouraged to get their vaccines as soon as they are eligible and able, although this is not being made mandatory.
Lakehead University continues to adhere to health guidelines that help diminish the spread of COVID-19, which may include self-screenings, masking, physical distancing, and hand-washing. If public health units advise differently, we will make adjustments.
Seneca College stated on July 13 that all students and school employees will have to be fully vaccinated if they want to attend campus in person.
