An update of the work going on at the Boulevard Lake Dam will be a topic of discussion.
Current River Ward councillor Andrew Foulds will engage residents in a virtual town hall with residents at 7:00 p.m.
“All the intel information that I getting is that it’s progressing well. I actually live very close to it so I’m seeing the almost daily advances that are being made,” says Foulds.
Foulds notes the Boulevard Lake Master Plan includes the construction of a splash pad, tennis and pickle ball courts as well as a parking lot near Lyon Boulevard.
“What are we going to do for that channel in terms of cleaning it up, making sure that it’s the proper depth so that the kayak and canoe club can continue it’s great tradition of hosting dragon boat festivals” Foulds adds, when talking about cleaning the bottom of Boulevard Lake.
Foulds mentions that staff are working on a report to examine bottom cleaning dredging, which he understands will be back before council prior to Christmas in case there are any future budget deliberations.
