The City of Thunder Bay’s Winter FunDays are always a good time, but this weekend is of particular interest to me … it’s all about “The Boy Who Lived”, Harry Potter! On Sunday, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Prince Arthur’s Landing, the City, along with Willow Springs, are putting on a Harry Potter in the Winter themed treasure hunt! So much fun! I love the Harry Potter series. The movies are awesome but the books are really where it’s at for me. I can’t wait until my son is old enough to read them with me. If you are a reader, and you haven’t checked out the series because you think it’s for kids, or you’re not into fantasy stuff, I encourage you to give it a shot. I didn’t think I’d be into it and boy, was I wrong. It’s just a great world to escape in. The first couple of books lean more towards kids (which is fun) but the series really grows up with the characters.
A few of my friends love the books too. I always said that I would be Cedric Diggory, the handsome heroic type. My friend Savs insisted I would be Viktor Krum. I’m still personally insulted. Excuse me while I go drown my tears in a Butterbeer (Oh, how I wish!)
