Geraldton District Hospital is receiving a significant amount of provincial funding following a surprise announcement.
Premier Doug Ford was in Greenstone on Wednesday to announce progress made on infrastructure and roadwork in the area.
Before the announcement he visited the hospital where he announced $8.5 million in funding.
The funds are going towards renovations and a new nurse practitioner program.
The Premier’s Office plans on releasing more information once it becomes available.
