A portion of Arthur Street has been closed by city police.
The roadway is closed between Catherines Street and Vickers Street South.
Not a lot of information is available, but a motorbike, and police cruiser were both damaged and left at the scene.
Police have closed off the road with caution tape.
They say they expect the roadway to be closed for the next few hours.
No serious injuries were reported.
