The pool at Volunteer Pool Community Centre is temporarily closed for some unplanned work following an act of vandalism.
On Wednesday evening, the glass of a large patio door was broken at the facility leaving shattered glass in and around the pool.
“We are disheartened that our facility that serves so many in our community has been vandalized,” said Program Supervisor – Volunteer Pool/Seasonal Facilities, Callie Graham. “We apologize for any inconvenience this closure causes to our valued members and look forward to safely reopening the pool next week.”
The pool is expected to be re-opened next Wednesday.
During the closure, members can access Churchill Pool and the Canda Games Complex.
