An apartment fire on the city’s southside is under investigation.
The blaze broke out just before 11 am yesterday on Lincoln Street.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue says fire fighters notice heavy, black smoke coming from the rear of the six story building.
The fire was located on the first floor and crews quickly brought it under control.
There was smoke damaged to other unit on the first floor, but the fire itself was contained.
Several occupants managed to get out prior to the arrival of the fire trucks.
Two residents suffered smoke inhalation, but only one have to be treated at hospital.
The scene is currently being held pending an investigation by police and the Ontario Fire Marshall.
