UPDATED:
Ontario Provincial Police say they have safely apprehended a barricaded person.
This comes following a heavy police presence in the Duke Street and Earl Avenue area Monday morning.
Police were called to a disturbance at an apartment complex around 3:30 a.m., there officers learned an individual had barricaded themselves in an apartment.
Members of the Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit were deployed to assist.
Around 7:30 a.m. the 37 year old exited the apartment and was taken to hospital for assessment.
Nobody was injured in the incident and the area has since been cleared.

Ontario Provincial Police say an incident in Dryden has been resolved safely.
In a post to social media by Ontario Provincial Police is asking residents to avoid the area of Duke Street and Earl Avenue.
It states a heavy police presence is in the area and that there is no other risk to public safety at this time.
No other details have been made available.
