A Dryden woman has been arrested on multiple charges following a lengthy police investigation.
It began in August after Ontario Provincial Police received reports of harassing behavior from the 54 year old.
When officers attempted to arrest her during the noon hour on Tuesday she resisted and assaulted the officer, but eventually was placed in handcuffs.
OPP say the officer was injured as a result of the interaction, however no details were provided as to their extent.
The accused faces a number of charges including:
• Criminal Harassment,
• Defamation known to be false,
• Assault a Peace Officer,
• Resist Peace Officer and
• Mischief Under $5,000
She is being held in custody pending a court appearance Thursday.
