Up to 3000 affected by power outage

Synergy North is investigating a south side power outage.

2500 to 3000 customers are being impacted in the Westfort area, Highway 61 and side roads to the city limits.

A crew has been dispatched to patrol.

Estimated restoration time is dependent upon diagnosis according to a post to social media by the utility.

This outage coincides to the closure of Highway 61 between Highway 130 and Broadway Avenue, as a result of downed hydro lines.

Motorists are being asked to detour around the affected area.
