A Dawson man has been charged with a number of firearms offences following the execution of a search warrant Wednesday.
Ontario Provincial Police executed the warrant at the home on Highway 621 following a weapons call which occurred two days prior.
In addition to the arrest officers seized 19 firearms.
The 66 year old faces several charges including:
• Assault with a Weapon
• Intimidation – Use of Threatens use of Violence
• Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose Pointing a Firearm
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
• Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device, or Ammunition – three counts
He has been remanded into custody and will appear in court at an undisclosed later date.
