Ontario’s Culture Days kicks off on September 22 and runs until October 15.
Culture Days is an annual national celebration with various cultural events.
The city of Thunder Bay participates each year as a local organizer of Culture Days events.
The event is a three-week-long series of free, or pay-what-you-may, activities and performances hosted by artists, cultural organizations, and the city, and it gives behind-the-scenes access to local arts, culture, and heritage.
The city’s main event to kick off festivities is the Arts & Culture Under the Lights: Ontario Culture Days Launch Event.
The launch is happening at Prince Arthur’s Landing at the Baggage Building Arts Centre from 6-10 p.m.
The event will offer a night of live dance, and cultural performances, as well as The Art of the Mushroom, and Literary Stage.
Before the evening’s main event, stop at the Thunder Bay Public Library in the morning for some Window Painting.
