One man is in hospital with what are believed to be life threatening injuries and another man remains behind bars following a serious assault Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. when city police responded to a report of an injured male.
Upon arrival officers located the man being treated by paramedics with Superior North EMS, who was later taken to hospital.
An investigation led police to identifying and arresting a 24 year old Thunder Bay man on a charge of aggravated assault.
He was remanded into custody following a bail hearing.
The investigation remains ongoing with members of the Forensic Identification and Major Crimes units.
