Conditions look great for tonight’s ‘super rare’ Blue Moon! According to NASA, it’ll be one of the biggest and brightest Moons of the year.
It’s expected to peak at 9:36pm EST. How close will the Moon be to Earth? Close, by NASA standards. In fact, 30,000 km closer than it usually is. 357,000 km away! LOL.
AND, watch out for SATURN to appear just above, and to the right of the Moon tonight. Very cool. Obviously binoculars or a telescope would be best for viewing. Good luck and enjoy this ‘super rare BLUE MOON’.
P.S – yes, I know the Moon won’t actually be BLUE.
