A city man has been arrested following an incident which resulted in a man being attacked with a brick at a May Street home Saturday.
The incident tipped off just after 9:00 a.m. after the victim had asked the male attacker and a woman to leave the building.
The request was met with an object being thrown at the man, before the assailant fled to a nearby homeless encampment on Simpson Street.
Within a few minutes of the assault officers arrived at the encampment and identified, located and arrested the man.
While in custody at police headquarters, the 31 year old then attacked three officers.
Charges include:
• Assault with a Weapon
• Assault x 2
• Assault Peace Officer x 3
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order
He remains in custody following a weekend court appearance.
