City police have arrested a Thunder Bay man following an assault and robbery in a north side neighbourhood.
Officers were called to Carrie Street just before 5:00 p.m.Wednesday, upon arrival they learned a male had accused the victims of stealing his property before assaulting them.
It was later revealed he was in the process of taking items, which were not his to begin, with prior to making the accusation and fleeing on foot.
One person was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police later spotted the 39 year old 30 minutes later, but he again fled on foot before being located and arrested on the corner of Martha and Carrie Streets just after 5:45 p.m.
He’s been charged with:
• Robbery with Violence
• Resist Peace Officer
Following a brief court appearance Thursday he was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
