Ontario Provincial Police in Red Lake have arrested and charged a 46 year old man in connection to a break-in on McKenzie Island.
Police received a complaint just before 6:30 a.m. Saturday of a suspicious person on the island.
An investigation revealed one home had been broken into.
When officers located and took the man into custody he was in possession of a pellet gun and some drugs believed to be methamphetamine.
The accused faces a number of charges including:
· Carrying a Concealed Weapon
· Break, Enter Dwelling house – Commit Indictable Offence
· Mischief Under $5,000
· Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other than to Attend Court – two counts
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
He has since been remanded into custody and is expected to appear in a Kenora courtroom at a later date.
