A Fort Frances man is facing drug charges among others following a traffic stop in the community Friday.
Officers observed a traffic violation and pulled the vehicle over.
Through an investigation it was determined the driver was suspended and impaired at the time of the incident.
Additionally the officers located drug trafficking equipment as well as suspected cocaine and Fentanyl.
He was then taken to the detachment for further testing.
The 23 year old faces several charges including:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid
- Driving while under suspension
- Driver fail to surrender licence
The accused has since been released from custody and is expected back in court on August 28th.
