Unfortunate news if you were hoping to take a ride on the Muskeg Express in Centennial Park.
While operating earlier this month an issue arose following the installation of a new wheel, which caused the train to come off the track.
No injuries were reported in the derailment and while the issue has been repaired, the incident was reported to the Technical Safety and Standards Authority, which must now perform a review.
An estimated timeline has the review lasting up to three weeks, meaning the train will remain out of service until then.
This isn’t the first time the Muskeg Express has experienced issues, in 2021 the train went off the track.
That incident was reviewed, assessed and addressed allowing the ride to run last year with no issue.
