One person has been sent to hospital following a shooting in a south side neighbourhood Wednesday evening.
Police were called to the Cumming Street area just after 5:00 p.m.
Which resulted in the street being shutdown and officers securing a perimeter around nearby apartment building, while members of the Emergency Task Unit entered the building.
Meanwhile, officers with the Identification Unit could be seen investigating a nearby home, which neighbours say was entered by police earlier in the evening.
One person could be seen being taken into custody around 8:00 p.m., however the area remained locked down into the late hours of the evening.
