A 26 year old city man remains in custody after being picked up on an active warrant Friday.
Officers with the Break, Enter and Robbery or BEAR Unit took the 26 year old into custody around 10:30 a.m. in the Donald Street east area, after the officers recognized him.
While his apprehension went off without an incident the man was in possession of a weapon concealed on his person, fortunately it was later determined the weapon was a pellet gun.
He faces several charges as the result of this arrest including:
• Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
• Carrying Concealed Weapon
• Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order
He appeared in court on Saturday and was remanded into custody.
