Thunder Bay Police have arrested another two Toronto residents participating in drug trafficking here in the city.
Police responded to reports of two males in possession of handguns in the area of a Cumberland Street South residence just before six o’clock Sunday morning.
Upon arrival officers located the two suspects, aged 16 and 17 respectively, and discovered they were engaged in drug trafficking and were promptly taken into custody.
Several hours later a search warrant was executed as the home and while no handguns were located, police did seize a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, cash and drug trafficking equipment.
The 16 year old from Toronto is charged with:
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
• Failure to Comply with Undertaking
Meanwhile the 17 year old also from Toronto is charged with:
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
As per the Youth Criminal Justice Act neither teenager can be identified.
They appeared in court on Monday, and the investigation remains ongoing.
