A family of eight living on the Webequie First Nation is homeless following an Easter weekend fire, which fortunately did not claim any lives.
The blaze occurred on Friday morning and has reignited calls to address the inability for remote First Nations to battle house fires.

No injuries were reported, however the family was flown to Thunder Bay for smoke inhalation treatment.
A GoFundMe has been started to assist the family which includes a new born baby.
