Thunder Bay Police continue to investigate last evenings incident at the James Street Swing bridge and are seeking witnesses.
All three branches of Thunder Bay’s emergency services responded to the incident just after 6:30 p.m. to reports of an adult male had jumped or fallen from the bridge into the Kaministiquia River.
Firefighters were successful in rescuing the man from the water and he was taken to hospital by Superior North EMS for evaluation and treatment.
Those injures are believed to be non life-threatening.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident are asked to contact police on the non-emergency line at (807) 684-1200 to speak to an investigator.
