Three residents of Atikokan and one from Brampton have been arrested following an investigation into drug trafficking in Atikokan.
Officers executed a search warrant at a home in that community March 3rd, seizing suspected fentanyl, cocaine and Percocet, a firearm, prohibited devices and ammunition.
A 34 year old Atikokan woman faces:
· 3 counts of Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
· Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over 5,000
· Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm
· Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
· Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
· Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
· Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With
· Possession a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Meanwhile a 40 year old Atikokan woman faces:
· 3 counts of Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
· Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over 5,000
· Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm
· Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
· Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
· Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
· Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With
· Possession a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Furthermore a 22 year old man from Brampton has been charged with:
· 3 counts of Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
· Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
· Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm
· Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over 5,000
· Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
· Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With
· Possession a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
· 8 counts of Failure to Comply with a Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court
· Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
And finally a 45 year old Atikokan woman faces:
· 2 counts of Failure to Comply with a Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court
All four appeared in court on March 4th and were remanded into custody.
