Within 12 a hour period from Thursday evening into Friday morning Thunder Bay police made four impaired driving arrests, which the service says represents a busy night for them.
One of those charges stems from a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Memorial and Central Avenues shortly before 11:30 p.m.
Upon arrival officers found two heavily damage vehicles, a small SUV and a larger SUV.
One of the drivers, a 41 year old woman, was observed to have multiple signs of impairment by alcohol and was taken into custody.
Paramedics were also dispatched to the scene however no injuries were reported by police.
While at TBPS headquarters, she was requested to provide a sample of her breath and refused to comply.
She has been charged with:
• Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
• Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
• Failure or Refusal to Comply with Breath Demand
The accused has been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
