A 17 year old from Toronto and a 33 year old Thunder Bay man have been arrested by city police following a home takeover investigation last night.
Officers were called to a home on Northern Avenue and learned an elderly tenant of the building may have had their apartment taken over by those involved in the drug trade.
One of the accused attempted to flee from a window but was caught following a brief foot pursuit, while the second was located inside the apartment.
A quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl and drug trafficking equipment was seized.
The 17 year old has been charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking • Obstruct Peace Officer • Unlawfully in a DwellingMeanwhile a 33 year old city man faces the following charges:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking • Breach of Probation x 2Both appeared in court today and were remanded into custody.
