One person has died after a collision on Hwy 11-17.
Thursday afternoon, police attended to the area on the highway between Red River Road and Balsam Street.
A 43 year old man from Thunder Bay was pronounced dead after being brought to the hospital by EMS.
The OPP’s investigation revealed an eastbound tractor trailer struck the pedestrian in one of the eastbound lanes. The driver of the Tractor Trailer Unit was not injured.
The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team and OPP Collision Re-constructionists have investigated the scene.
