The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service is requesting an outside agency to investigate one of its own.
Earlier this month video emerged of a NAPS officer in an altercation with a resident of the Slate Falls First Nation which is located 560 kilometres Northwest of Thunder Bay.
In a release the police service says it takes matters like this very seriously and for investigative transparency they have requested the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police to conduct the investigation.
