Canadian guitarist Jerry Doucette has passed away in hospice at the age of 70. Doucette who was born in Montreal and raised in Hamilton, moved to Vancouver and played with various bands until being signed as a solo artist to Mushroom Records (one time home of Heart). Doucette rose to fame with the songs ‘Mama Let Him Play’ and ‘All I Wanna Do’ and released five albums under the name ‘Doucette’. Doucette is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maggie, 5 children and 10 grandchildren. It has been reported that he passed away peacefully on Monday surrounded by his family.
