
A huge cash infusion for mental health care is coming.
The Addictions Recovery Fund is getting $3.8 million to help support access and treatments in Thunder Bay.
There will be 34 new addictions treatment beds coming to the city and region to help those that are struggling with various addictions and mental health problems.
St. Joseph’s Care Group will be getting 10 of these beds as they provide rehabilitative care, support for seniors, and mental health and addictions services. In addition to those, another four beds will be available for withdrawal management.
There will be 20 supportive treatment beds will be going to Dilico Anishinabek Family Care. They provide individual, family and community programs and services for the complete life journey of all Anishinabek people.
