A large data breach hits the latest crowd funding campaign and it’s website.
The US based website hosting the most recent campaign for the protesters in Ottawa saw a huge data breach that has released the information on those who have donated to the cause.
Of the data available, it’s been calculated donors from the Northwestern Ontario region have donated close to $20k.
Last week, the Ontario government was able to get a court injunction that froze money from the newest campaigns from being handed out to occupiers.
These campaigns have raised more than $12M CDN, not including the original fundraiser from GoFundMe which puts them over the $20M CDN mark.
