Leaders in the community could be recipients of Thunder Bay’s annual Respect Awards.
Nominations are now open for the 10th year of the event. The awards are a way to recognize individuals, businesses, and organizations in the community that demonstrate leadership by enhancing diversity, inclusion, equity and respect for others.
Two winners will be bestowed the award; one for an individual and one for an organization or business.
The Awards were established by the Respect Initiative Working Group and are sponsored by Diversity Thunder Bay.
Award recipients will be revealed on Wednesday, Mar. 23 during Diversity Thunder Bay’s 16th Annual Celebration event that recognizes the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
