The Thunder Bay Public Library’s digital access program is now a permanent feature.
Teens and adults who have library card, and accounts that are in good standing will be able to borrow a tablet, Chromebook or WiFi Hotspot from the library.
Bridging the Digital Divide program is now a permanent part of the library’s line up to help those with limited access to the internet. The devices on loan could be used for job searches, streaming free movies, homework, attending meetings/appointments that are virtual as well as meeting and e-visiting with friends and family.
To borrow a device, card holders can call the library or make the reservations themselves.
One tablet or Chromebook and hotspot will be loaned out per person for a period of 28 days at a time.
More info about the program can be read here.
